Hever Castle - December 2015

This, one of the best loved castles is usually lit in the hours of darkness by floodlights highlighting its dramatic effect.

However, at Christmas the castle and gardens are transformed to become a magical and enchanting scene. STL have again this year gained the privilege of assisting with creating this look using festoons, fairy lights and colour wash.

Over 70 HQI 400 watt coloured flood lights were used to wash the trees and surrounding areas with colour.

80 led fixtures colour washed the Italian Gardens and castle walls, bathing them in constantly changing colour.

Thousands of meters of pea lights have been wrapped around the many trees, pathways and hedges and line the driveway and snow covered Christmas walk.

The castle also has a large illuminated star hung either side of the drawbridge with a green highlighted Christmas tree hung high above the main entrance. These were fabricated by K P Martin and lit by STL.

We at STL are very aware of the environment. We take care of the power distribution for the whole site and are using more and more led lights, saving power and becoming more environmentally friendly.

The manufacturer’s equipment used by us were, SGM P5; Studio Due City Colours 2500; Novaflowers; Studio Due Led floods and Pulsar Chroma Battens.

The control systems used are, Avolites Pearl; Zero Wire Wireless System and various Replay Units.
