Hever Castle Christmas Lights 2012
BackThe lighting of Hever Castle along with its grounds and gardens has become a bit of a Christmas tradition with STL and 2012 is no exception.

The Challenge
The challenge with lighting such a vast area of woodland and gardens has always been that of mains supplies and power distribution.
However, this year the maintenance team have spent time and money upgrading the power infrastructure around the grounds which has allowed us to add additional lighting and effects to more areas than ever before in addition to building on the areas that have looked so effective in previous years.
With this popular annual event drawing back families year after year, we have always tried to maintain a fresh look for each design using a varying range of both LED and discharge products along with kilometre upon kilometre of fairy lights that is essential to every Christmas lighting display.
The 2012 design incorporates 50 x 400 watt sodium floods with coloured lamps, 12 x SGM Palco's, 6 x SGM Genio's, 12 x Pulsar Chroma batten 200, 40 x DTS Titans, 6 x Anolis Arcsource Par16, 4 x Studio Due City Colour 2500 with vast amounts of pea lights, rope lighting and LED icicle tubes.
Another aspect of this year’s show is the use of projection mapping on to the side of the castle showing various Christmassy animations played on loop throughout the open evenings.
